Honey, let's play hooky cause it snowed last night.

And suddenly I am the happiest person I know.
2010 has been my year. I lost myself and then found myself once more in the most beautiful place. I had the most beautiful day that I have had in a very long time.
And I had this whole long post planned out about why I am so happy, but it comes down to this:

There is a higher power, and that higher power has a plan for each and every one of us. There is a higher power. And most of the time that higher power is successful at confusing me. But it has a plan. And I am going to let it all be.

Well, that and the fact that I feel skinny and eloquent and was introduced as "one of the best young journalists I've ever met" today. And that I went to a fantastic wedding. (Go Mckenzie!!) There was even a photo booth there. And Mallory exists and shares her secrets with me. And I made a new friend and he is very, very funny and makes me laugh so hard that I cry. And it is almost Christmas. And my nana brought me sweaters. And I spent nearly half and hour of English class chatting with my friend, Hunter Wilson, about why six hundred sixty six billion, three hundred and twelve million, four hundred thirty seven thousand, one hundred and eleven (or, any number, for that matter) to the power of zero is always one.
We're that cool.

Go.
All my love, Addy.

P.S. I don't have my phone. But my house phone is always able to be called. Call me, pretty please. (That means you, Mallory. We have more secret sharing to do.)
P.P.S. Collin & Kaitlyn - (a) would you please just kiss and admit to being in love with each other? And, (b) tell Tim Thompson to stop freaking out. His longboard is in the back of my car.
P.P.P.S. Go take my poll please.

I am scared of something.

It's called waking up one morning and being old. Like, very old. Like, thirty or something.... Anyway. I'm very scared of waking up one morning and being old and thinking, "I haven't done anything with my life." And therefore, I am going to start a bucket list. I would invite all of you to join me - please. But that's your choice. (Bi, Kat, Ave, Hayles, and Kaitlyn, you have no choice. You are just required to do a lot of these things with me.) Well. Today is my hundredth post! Huzzah. I'm very happy with the way this little blog has turned out, aren't you? Nonetheless, ladies and gentlemen. The Bucket List (or part of it at least):

1. Be on Wheel of Fortune, The Price is Right, Jeopardy or some funny game show like that.
2. Learn to yodel.
3. Go to Asia.
4. Go to Europe.
5. Eat something terrible tasting that I can brag about for a while.
6. Kiss on the first date.
7. Attend Midnight Mass.
8. Substitute a high school class.
8b. Be the coolest sub they've ever had.
9. Perform on Broadway.
10. Graduate from high school.
11. Throw a giant 11/11/11 party.
12. Be on a late-night talk show.
13. Get into a great college back east.
13b. Graduate from that college.
14. Get my drivers licence.
15. Meet a celebrity.
15b. And also possibly pet their hair.
15c. Unless that'll get me a restraining order.
16. Dye my hair.
17. Get a really cool job with bragging rights.
18. Pretend to be a man for an entire day.
19. Speak with a British accent for several days in succession.
20. Go on a huge shopping spree.
21. Pull an all-nighter on a school night.
22. Ask a stranger on a date.
23. Accept a dare.
24. Be on the news.
24b. People aren't only on the news because they do bad stuff like rob old ladies, okay?
25. Have a song I sing on Itunes.
26. See a million or so of my favorite musicians in concert.
27. Reject the boy every girl is dying for.
28. Wear stilettos where they aren't usually worn.
29. Live alone.
29b. In the coolest apartment/condo/house ever to be.
30. Have a fantastic photoshoot with people I love.
31. Buy a wedding gown.
31b. Get married.
31c. And try not to get divorced.
32. Ride in an actual train.
32b. Trax so does not count.
33. Dance solo with a professional company.
34. Be voted "Best Dressed."
35. Sleep past noon.
36. Crash a wedding.
37. Get a tattoo.
38. Get my typewriter fixed.
39. Play a game of quidditch.
39b. Because quidditch is now a real, actual sport. I promise you. Here's the link. npr.org even said so. They're very reliable. I'm being totally serious here.

I think that's sufficient for now. Who's joining me?
Go play quidditch.
All my love, Addy.
(Comment and tell me which numbers you're joining me for. We start now.)

Facts.

I hate facts. Because sometimes, facts suck. They say things like, "If you want to not be fat, you need to sleep and eat healthy things and run and stuff." That's a fact. Another fact? "Boys are really stupid." I'm not a huge fan of that fact either. Or possibly, "Your Ipod broke and the new Ipod that is really old that you are using just froze and is being a meanie." Or sometimes, facts say, "We used to be really best friends and then something happened inside of us and it is uber weird now." That's a fact.
But sometimes, on rare occasions, facts say something like, "Bianca is nice and I really like her and she is becoming the oddest best friend I have ever acquired in all of my life." Or, "Hayley is reading my blog and I love her." Maybe they say, "Mallory and Hannah are awesome and cute." Or possibly, "We sat and laughed together for nearly an hour today and no one else in the whole wide world mattered right then because he has beautiful eyes and I'm positively joyful about the whole ordeal." Or sometimes they say, "I get to work at a wedding tonight." Of course, these are very nice facts and I am terribly glad that they are real, actual facts and not just fragments of my over-worked imagination.

I wore a a bright pink sweater today, too. That is how beautiful this day was.
Nothing can ruin this beautiful day. ("Nothing," Katie would say, "Except for forgetting your chapstick.)

Fall in love.
All my love, Addy

One day, I'm going to get married.

It's true. Or, at least I hope. I'm not sure exactly who I shall marry, but let's be honest here, I have a pretty good idea of who I'd like it to be. The point is, I love weddings. Quite frankly, I actually like the idea of a wedding more than I like the idea of actually marrying someone. I tend to be a flighty person and I only like men for an average of two months. The longest was about six months with a boy named Jarrett who was also my best friend and I now fantasize about throwing the occasional brick at him. The shortest, in case you were curious, was about an hour. His name was Jens. Don't even worry about it. (Katie and Avery and all the rest of you, yes: that Jens.) It's rather ironic, though, too. Jarrett and Jens are also cousins. Ha! Anyway, that's rather beside the point. The point is, I liked Jarrett for six months. That, in my head, is a very long time. He was my best friend, yes. And now, I would enjoy throwing hard objects at his head. Exactly why I am not so entirely sure that a marriage would be entirely acceptable. Obviously, it could be rather problematic. Nonetheless, I desperately want a fabulous wedding, therefore, looks like I had better find someone lovely that I could spend my whole entire life with and most likely the rest of eternity with, too. You just wait.

You're all invited to my wedding.
All my love, Addy.
